Privacy Policy
Last updated: November 4, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how NK Tech Solutions ("we", "us") handles information in the Android app Sobriety Calculator & Tracker (the "App") and on the website sobrietycalculator.app (the "Website"). Together we call them the "Services".
The short version: the App has no accounts, and everything you enter stays on your phone. We do not see your sobriety dates, check-ins, journal or any other personal content. The only data that leaves your device is what Google Play, RevenueCat and Google AdMob need to process purchases and show ads, described below.
1. Who we are
NK Tech Solutions, India. You can contact us any time through https://sobrietycalculator.app/contact.
2. Information stored only on your device
When you use the App, you may enter:
- what you are tracking (for example alcohol or smoking), counter names and start dates and times
- money, time and units per day, and your currency
- daily check-ins: mood, craving level, whether you stayed sober, and notes
- journal entries
- your reasons to stay sober
- streak history and milestones
- reminder settings
- an optional support person's name and phone number
All of this is stored only in the App's private storage on your phone. We never receive it, and it is never uploaded to our servers. We do not have servers that store App user data.
App lock. If you turn on App lock, your 4-digit PIN is stored only as a salted, one-way hash on your phone. Fingerprint unlock uses your phone's own biometric system; the App never receives or stores your fingerprint.
Backups. If you choose to export a backup, the App creates a file and Android's share menu lets you decide where to save or send it (for example your Files app or Google Drive). We never receive that file. Your App lock PIN and premium status are not included in backups.
Notifications. Daily check-in reminders and milestone alerts are scheduled locally on your phone. They are not sent from a server. Notification text never shows your streak count, to protect your privacy on the lock screen.
Calling your support person. The "Call my person" button opens your phone's dialer with the number you entered. The App does not access your contacts.
3. Information processed by third-party services
Purchases: Google Play and RevenueCat
Premium (a weekly subscription or a one-time lifetime purchase) is sold through Google Play. Payment details are handled entirely by Google; we never see your card or payment information.
We use RevenueCat to check whether you have an active premium purchase. RevenueCat receives a random, anonymous app user ID created on your device, and your Google Play purchase receipts and purchase history for this App. It does not receive your name, email or any content you enter in the App.

- RevenueCat Privacy Policy: https://www.revenuecat.com/privacy
Ads: Google AdMob
If you use the free version, the App shows ads from Google AdMob. To show and measure ads and to prevent fraud, Google may collect:
- your device's advertising ID
- device information (such as model, operating system and language)
- app usage and interaction with ads
- approximate location derived from your IP address
Where required by law (for example in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland), the App asks for your consent before personalized ads are shown, using Google's User Messaging Platform. You can change your choice any time in the App under Settings → Privacy options (shown where this applies).
You can also reset or delete your advertising ID in your phone's settings (Settings → Privacy → Ads on most Android phones).
The App asks for ads suitable for a general audience and does not show ads in the urge timer (SOS), breathing exercise, or onboarding.
Premium users do not see ads, and the ads SDK is not started for them.

Contact form: Google Forms
Our contact page links to a Google Form. If you submit it, the information you choose to enter (such as your name, email and message) is processed by Google Forms and used only to reply to you and help with your request.
4. The Website
The sobriety calculator on sobrietycalculator.app runs entirely in your browser. The date you enter is used only to calculate your results and may be saved in your browser's local storage so it is there when you come back. It is never sent to us.
The Website does not use accounts. [ANALYTICS: The Website does not currently use analytics or advertising cookies. If this changes, this section will be updated before it does.]
Our hosting provider may keep standard server logs (such as IP address, browser type and the page requested) for security and reliability.
5. How we use information
We use information only to:
- provide the App's features on your device
- check and restore your premium purchase
- show ads to free users
- reply to messages you send us
We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your App content for advertising, profiling or any other purpose, because we never receive it.
6. Sharing
We share information only with the service providers listed in section 3 (Google Play, RevenueCat, Google AdMob, Google Forms), for the purposes described there, or if required by law.
7. Data retention and deletion
- App content stays on your phone until you delete it. Uninstalling the App, or clearing its storage in Android settings, permanently deletes all of it. Export a backup first if you want to keep it.
- Purchase records are kept by Google Play and RevenueCat as needed to provide and restore your purchases and to meet legal and tax requirements. You can ask us to delete the RevenueCat record linked to your anonymous ID through our contact page.
- Contact form messages are kept only as long as needed to help you.
- Website data in your browser can be removed by clearing your browser's site data.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, the EU and UK GDPR, or US state laws), you may have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data, to withdraw consent, and to complain to a data protection authority.
Because your App content never leaves your device, you control it directly in the App. For data held by our service providers, or any other request, contact us through https://sobrietycalculator.app/contact. We will respond within the time required by law.
9. Security
App content is stored in the App's private storage, which other apps cannot read. App lock adds a PIN or fingerprint check when you open the App. No method of storage is perfectly secure, so please keep your phone protected with a screen lock.
10. Age requirement
The Services are intended for adults aged 18 and over. They are not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
11. Not medical advice
The Services are personal tracking and wellbeing tools. They do not provide medical advice, diagnosis or treatment. If you are struggling or in crisis, contact local emergency services or find a helpline at https://findahelpline.com.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top shows the latest version. If a change is significant, we will let you know in the App or on the Website.
